2020 US Election Candidate Astrological Profiles – Trump & Pence
Now that Republican Party Convention is over and Donald Trump and Mike Pence are the official nominees for President and Vice President (“VP”)for the Republican Party let’s take a look at their astrological charts.
Donald Trump was an unlikely nominee in 2016 as he had no prior political experience. This time around he has 4 years of being President on his record. The base of the Republican party basically election him, not so much on his personality or accomplishments, but on his ideology. In the previous post on the Democratic Party’s nominees Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, I mentioned that ideology is driving the nominating process more so than the person involved. So whether or not Trump’s supporters thought he delivered on those ideological promises is the key for him to get reelected.
Donald trump was born on June 14, 1946 at 10:54 AM EDT, in Jamaica, New York. His time is rated AA. His Sun is in Gemini in the 10th House, his Moon is in Sagittarius in 4th House, and his Ascendant is Leo. His Mars is conjunct his ascendant, and this gives him the will to fight. It makes him like a boxer that you can’t land a knockout blow. He goes the distance as demonstrated every time the media thinks he is finished. Like his impeachment trial.
Trump was born under a Full Moon Eclipse in the angular houses of the 10th & 4th House. With the Sun conjunct the North Node in 10th House, it gives him prominence in life that few can achieve. In the 2016 US Election a lot of astrologers tried to to predict the election based off Trump and Clinton’s charts. I think many of them ignored this obvious sign of success and didn’t realize that he would be a natural fit in the Presidency, and therefore underestimated his chances.
His most dignified planet in the chart is Jupiter in Libra in the 2nd House. This probably relates more to his past when he made his fortune in Real Estate deals. His least dignified planet is Saturn in Cancer in the 11th House. This planet probably makes him seem like an outcast in his own social circles, and because it rules the 7th House he has probably make more open enemies then he has made friends.
That said, the most important part of his chart this election is his Moon is conjunct the South Node in the 4th House. This would be his base of support since the Moon is the public. While it has no essential dignity, being conjunct the South is an accidental debility similar to determinant. So if he can not fire up his base and gt them to vote for him again, he may lose the election.
One indication that the base is not as excited about Trump, is the fact he hasn’t followed up on key campaign promises, such “build a wall & make Mexico pay for it”, “lock her up!”, and repeal Obamacare. While some of these promises may seem crazy to Democrats, to the Republicans supporting Trump, these are things they wanted. The fact he was unable deliver many of original campaign promises may be the deciding factor in this election.
Looking at Mike Pence’s chart, we run into as astrological issue. He is the only major candidate here who we do not have an exact time for. All that we know he is born on June 7, 1957 in Columbus Indiana. I am using a Sunrise chart here. His Sun is in Gemini, and his is in Libra. With both these planets in air signs he is probably mentally very sharp.
His strongest planet is Saturn in Sagittarius, which has triplicity. This gives him a very stern approach in in lawmaking ability related to his former career as Representative in the House. Also kind of fits because he has had to cast several tie breaking votes in the Senate for Trump’s federal judge nominations. His weakest planet is Jupiter in Virgo. In a governing context this means he may hire too many staff and may not be able to manage them properly.
Since there is no exact birth time for Pence, I can not write much more about his chart. He feels overshadowed by Trump both in politics and astrologically. I don’t think Pence is even a factor in this election. It probably comes down to Trump’s ability to get his supporters to vote more than anything.
