2021 Libra Full Moon – Social Media Realizations

This year’s Libra Full Moon is one of the most dynamic Full Moon’s of the year. On March 28, 2:48 PM EDT, in Washington D.C., it makes a Grand Air Trine with Mars and Saturn while opposing a Sun Venus conjunction in Aries.

With regards to the Sun Venus conjunction, this is a major part of Venus synodic cycle. The Sun and Venus conjoin at approximately the same point in the sky every few years. This happens in one of two way. Venus can conjoin in direct in motion, while other times Venus is in retrograde motion. The last time Venus conjoined the Sun in this part of sky was March 21, 2017, and it was in retrograde motion at that time.

To get an idea of what this Venus Sun conjunction could like it might be a good idea to look back on what was happening in March 2017. Or maybe not since the news then was completely focus on the Donald Trump and the changes he was trying to make in Washington.

Here this conjunction is the 9^th House opposing a the Moon in 3^rd House. This is either a rethinking of the US foreign relationships, particularly with China. Or perhaps is the realization that some communication laws may need to be revised.

The trines to Mars and Saturn come in at this point. Mars is in Gemini in 11^th House while Saturn is in Aquarius in the 7^th House. This could mean a redefining of the relationship Americans have with social media. Americans will have to do this as more and more as the mainstream social media companies increasing censor controversial content.

Was is happening here is balkanization of the current social media environment as user disenfranchised by the current social media companies migrate to other ones. And it appears they will have many choices available to them.

For instance Parler is in the process of coming back since last month. The CEO of MyPillow, Mike Lindell announced recently he is launching his own social media company after being banned on Twitter. And of course Donald Trump announced through a spokesman, on March 21, 2021 that he will be launching his own social media company in the next few months.

Wait… what was that earlier about looking to past the to see how the Sun Venus conjunction may play out? The more things change the more they stay the same. Not sure how a Trump social media would play out, but given that republicans in general still support him this might be a big deal.

For the time being however, this process will likely occur on a more individual level where individuals begin to slowly disengage from the mainstream social media companies. This may not be very visible in the media, but it is likely many will privately be aware of it as they see their family and friends do this.
