Long Live the King! How will King Charles III reign go?
Recently, Queen Elizabeth II passed away at her castle in Barmoral in Scotland. She was one of the longest serving monarchs in the world the time of death, serving for over 70 years. She started her reign after World War 2 when there was still a British Empire. During her reign the most of the British Empire dissolved into independent Nation States leaving Britain with much less power internationally than before.
While she is not solely responsible for that since Britain is a Constructional Monarchy with Parliament having most of the power, it does reflect on her reign. How future historians will look at this is not known now, but it is likely her legacy will be mixed since she left Britain in a weaker state than she got it.
However, this isn’t a remembrance post. Instead let’s look towards to the future and see what the reign of King Charles III will have in store for Britain. We can do this because according to British law the new monarch officially has power of office the moment of of the previous one’s death. Therefore it is possible to use the death chart of Queen Elizabeth II as a inception chart for the future reign of King Charles III.
We know the location this event took place at is Barmoral Castle in Scotland, the only question is the time. The exact time hasn’t been published in the media at of the time of this writing. However, the time when the British PM was informed of the death is known and based on previous media reports that event likely occurred shortly after the Queen passed away. From reports we know the PM was informed of her death at 4:30 PM BST about 2 hours before the public was made aware of it. Therefore, this is not an exact time but one close enough to get a sense of the future.
One thing that can be said with confidence even without the knowledge from the chart is that King Charles III will not have as long of reign as his mother. He becomes King at the age of 73, which is several years past the age where most people actually retire. Obvious his reign will much shorter, but it still can last a decade or two if things go well and he remains in good health.
According to this chart, no matter the length of his reign, transformation is a key theme in it due to Pluto in 1st House in Capricorn. This can either be personal to him, or external to the monarchy and Britain itself. This is because even though the British monarch doesn’t have great power of the country, on a metaphysically level, the monarch still represents that country.
The other big take away from the chart is that financial concerns, maybe even restrictions on royal finances are possible with the Saturn-Moon conjunction on the cusp of the 2nd House in Aquarius. Also opposing this on the cusp of the 8th house in Leo is Ceres which can indicated loss in a chart.
This is already somewhat of an issue as Parliament spends millions of dollars on the monarchy by sending money to the Sovereign Grant. In the grand scheme of running the country, this is not a lot of money, but if there is major financial crisis in Britain during Charles III reign, the royal finances will become a political flash-point and in all likelihood, the Sovereign Grant will be greatly reduced.
Squaring the financial planets are the Nodes. Due to the high latitude of the location, this places the Nodes in the 10th and 4th House. With the South Node in the 10th House in Scorpio, it indicates that during his reign, his public reputation will likely take a further hit. This may be a low point for the British Monarchy in general.
Where this comes from may not be entirely related to him, but the unexpected behavior of his family members as indicated by the North Node Uranus conjunction in the 4th House in Taurus. This will likely play out with a continuation of the situation with Prince Andrew, his brother, who has been caught up in the Elite Pedophilia Scandals. For those who don’t know this, many politicians in the Western are pedophiles this is barely being kept secret by them.
Earlier this year, Prince Andrew was striped of his titles and royal duties when lawsuits against him were brought forward by his victims. Obviously this will still be an issue during Charles III reign. In fact, this scandal could grow and encompass other members of the royal family as well. If that happens it is likely Charles III reign will not be remembered kindly by historians.
Finally, we get to the last major aspect in the chart, Jupiter in the 2nd House in Aries opposing Mercury in the 8th House in Libra. Both planets are close enough to the adjacent house they can be placed there. Jupiter is the ruler of the chart here since, the Ascendant is Sagittarius. Mercury is about to station retrograde. And will do so the next day.
If one applies progressions to this aspect, then in the next year or so Mercury will turn retrograde and it is likely that media coverage of him will turn from he is a good monarch to one where he is troubled monarch plagued by family and financial scandals. Will the media coverage be enough to force him to abdicate? This is possible and if so then his reign may in fact be very short.
One should not discount the theory here that the period after a long severing monarch dies is usually marked with instability for a country. This isn’t always true, but here in for this chart there are plenty of indicators, such as squares and oppositions, that Charles III reign may start a period of instability in the British Royal Family.
